[ Vintage blazer, +J for Uniqlo shirt, Topshop trousers, Cambridge Satchel Co. bag, Primark earrings, Astley Clarke rings*, Kate Moss for Rimmel lipstick in shade 1. ]
Earlier this week I went to a rooftop soirée held by Push PR at the Sanctum Soho hotel in central London. It’s my first blogger event of 2012 – and the first I’ve attended as Becky from life/style/flash. instead of Blah Blah Becky.
These types of events are tricky to dress for: some people head there straight from work and so are wearing whatever they’ve had on all day, some go all out with blow dries and killer heels. I usually opt for flats, straight leg trousers/skinny jeans and an oversized knit but I decided to start as I mean to go on and make an effort. I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s better to be over- than under-dressed and besides we’d been advised to wear our best dresses as the event was being filmed.
It was freezing cold so I opted for warmth, wearing these 7/8 trousers bought at the weekend from Topshop in the amazing One New Change shopping centre. Also on it’s maiden voyage was this vintage blazer I picked up for just £5 from Judy’s Vintage Kilo Sale! Seeing as it was Kate Moss’ 38th birthday it seemed right to wear one of her Rimmel lipsticks, which are really long-lasting and somehow not drying at all.
It was a great event with a few familiar faces, thanks a lot to Push PR for inviting me and also for letting me bring Chris!
p.s.
I did tweet this last night but in case you don’t follow me on Twitter I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who has left suggestions on my post about things to do in Paris – I really appreciate it!
